Find Ancestors

can anyone help please. i have searched through 1881 and cant find him anywhere. the details i have are; Matthew Yapp born c1868 Mile End, occ in 1901 fishmonger. wife Alice Turner bc1862 st george london. they married 25 dec 1885. children Lilian, emily, albert, may, james and william. (1887-1899) matthews father is William Yapp.(i guess he was born c1835) that is all i have. I have found them in 1901 but cant find matthew or william in 1881. please can anyone help? many thanks lisa

Williams wife/Mathhews mothers name. Did matthew have sibling? have you got 1891? jes

i havent found any. I was hoping if i found him with his father in 1881 it may tell me. this is all the info i have. He was married by 1891 so that census wont help. I havent found his birth either, so i cant check his mothers name. the info i have posted is everything, except decendants of those children. I have them. Just stuck getting back further. I have also checked 1861 census to see if any Yapps living in mile end. there are none. I have listed all the families Yapp in 1861 london and found no willimas of the age that could be father. thanks for reading this. lisa xx

What was William's occupation? I've found these two on the 1871 in Mile End, no sign of Matthew though. William is an Bone & Ivory turner. Hannah Yopp 1848 Spitalfields, Middlesex, England Wife Mile End Old Town London William Yopp 1842 Birmingham Head Mile End Old Town London Hannah is a widow in 1881. She's a housekeeper in Jamaica Street, but I can't seem to find them on the image.

I dont know of his occupation. i will see if i can find these 2 anywhere else, i should be able to rule them in or out then. thank you very much lisa xx.

lisa and chloe. on the 71 there is the entry for william and hannah yopp/ yapp. but if you go to the next page, there looks to be a matthew and john price living with them {?} matthew is 6. am having problems getting is details on ancestry though, doh ! lol.

Thanks Sue. Didn't look on the next page and they're not included in the household. Lisa - Hannah is a WIDOW in 1881. This looks to be William's death Deaths Dec 1878 ------------------------------------- YAPP William 40 Mile End 1c 411 If you buy the marriage cert of Matthew's, then it should give William's occupation on it, and whether or not he is alive or dead. Matthew Price is a visitor, and John Price is down as a boarder.

chloe- whatever button you click- i cannot get matthews details to come up ! ie- others on page etc. and when i tried doing a search on matthew price, it could not find him ??? could matthew price and matthew yapp , be the same person ? maybe they adopted him and changed his name..... it just seems too much of a coincidence.....
