Fran, I can't trace a birth entry for Jesse Sidlow OR Jesse Dillon in 1932 or 1933. June 1932 is missing from GRO index for surname Dillon. How sure are you of the years of birth ? If you haven't got a birth cert, then you must be going by what you were told or what you believe. Dancer x

When you searched for the Marriage for your Mum and Dad .... who did you search for ? Your Mum ? if so, what name were you looking for : Mary Dillon or Mary Sidlow ? .... or your Dad ... Albert Winskill. What years did you actually search on 1837 ? for your Mum & dad's marriage. Dancer x

Ok, So now we are looking for Jess ... not John or Jack. So you haven't got any birth certs then ? ... surely you must have your own ? Dancer x

thanks for all the reply's sorry didn't get back sooner but i have had my thumb traped in the car door and iv'e only just stoped the bleeding. the reason I think my mother wasn't married is because i can't find her marrages to jesse sidlow or to my dad albert winskill. I found my Dads first wife ethel banahan in chorlton in 1912. my mam was 26 years younger than albert my dad. mam as I thought, was married to jesse sidlow around 1929, she had 6 children. jess known as jack, born in 1932 to 1934, beatrice, marie,marjorie, alan and anne. with a year between them all. these are all deceased ages from 45 to 60. me and my brother kenneth winskill were born in 1947 and me 1949. my mam and jesse sidlow lived in the harpahey area of manchester for a time, jesse died at 31 with TB he worked in the mine. after that she married my dad albert winskill, had me and my brother, i should have thought they married around 1945 to 1947, mams date of birth 20/03/1912 she died in 1961 age 48. my dads date of birth 06/04/1888 as there are no living relatives i have no one to ask for info. There is a Jack Dillon born in Ashton in the Oct/Nov/Dec 1932 and there is a *John Dillon* born in Lambeth (Mum's name is Dillon) Any chance she may have gone down to London to have him ? ... my Mother had two boys down in London ... living in Derbyshire at the time. still searching ...... Fran, I have just checked 1837online for the entry for Jack Sidlow b 1932. He is NOT registered 1932 OR 1933. Are you SURE of your dates. Could he have been Jack ? There are 2 Kenneths listed but no Jack or John. Could he have had the name DILLON ? Talk to us Fran Dancer x

Have you got birth certificates for yourself and your older brother Jack Sidlow ? If so, what is Mum's name written down as please ...if its Dillon then we know for a FACT that she never married the fathers.Is JACK his actually name ? or just the name he was known as. Frances What evidence do you have on your mothers first child, do you have a birth certificate? Who were the other children and when and where were they born? How do you know about Jesse Sidlow and Albert Winskill? and what makes you think your mother never married them? Give us all the information you have and maybe we will be able to solve your mystery. mam was born in ashton underlyne I know she had her first child Jack sidlow in 1932. and had 5 children beside's. She must have mrried my dad about 1945 to 1947 when she had my brother Ken then had me in 1949 thats if they was married. I can't ask any off the family because everyone has died. Where was Mum born and where would she have married her first husband ? Have you got Mum's birth cert ? Where have you looked for the marriage to your Dad ? Do you have an idea of the year they may have married in and where abouts they could have married. Your birth certificate, where and when were you born ? ... what name does it give for your Mum ... SHOULD say **** formerley **** maiden name ***, IF Mum & Dad were married. Have you any older siblings ... when was the oldest born please ? Dancer x

I am trying to find mary marie dillon. she was my mother and was born in march 1912. I have found thar her mother wasn't married when she had her. after this I can't find her being married to her first husband Jesse sidlow or to her second husband albert winskill ( my dad) if any one could help me i will be very gratefull.
