Hi, it would really help my research if someone can tell me anything about a Henry Lesney Burton b1816 in Greenwich Kent. By 1861 he was 45 and living in 12 , Nowells Buildings, Islington and married to Ellen born c1817. The 1861 Census has him as a 'Perambulator manufacturer and mechanical draftsman'. I am really keen to tie him in with a Charles Burton who 'invented' (patented) and manufactured prams in the 1850s, its a family legend i'm trying to find truth in! Unfortunately I know nothing else about Charles Burton so can't look him up at this stage. Any help would be really really appreciated! |

Have looked on 1841 census - he was not at Nowells Buildings. As its not name indexed I couldn't search further. The IGI on www.familysearch.org has Henry's birth and baptism: Henry Lessney Burton born 17 Sep 1815 bap 18 Sep 1816 St Alphage Greenwich Parents Charles and Mary Burton This is an extracted record from the parish registers (batch number C006323) so is fairly reliable. There are two further christenings to this couple at St Alphages: Edward bp 26 Aug 1811 Cassandia bp 31 May 1813 I know you asked for census info but hope some of this may help in some way to track down the link. |
