Bernice - do you have their marriage certificate? If so, what are the details on it? Is her age given as 16? What are the father's details? Does it mention her parents' consent? Kate. |

Hi ALL, This is driving me nuts and I need help with it... I have a George BRITTON born 1881 who married a Florence Maud GARLAND born 1883. Hanham Bristol. They married in 1899 and had their first born in 1901. But that means that Florence was only 16 when she married and yet she is still living at home at the age of 18. On the 1901 census she is living with George as man and wife. Please tell me I am not going mad.....!!! |
