As this look up was sort of left unfinished was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions or could work out the mystery of Harvey Middleton and Eliz/Kleigtia Middleton/Rushton? Many thanks really grateful of any help.

Jess you say that it shows her husband as being away but does it mention his name? perhaps i could find their marriage or his death details?

I also have a copy of the 1891 census and it show too fredericks but in 1901it looks like the frederick turned into a richard so maybe it was just a slip of the pencil?

is his mothers name Ruston/Rustin or Rushton?

Well he is definately on a birth certificate with his father being Harvey Middleton but looking at the entry showing the 1881 census i wonder if they never married and he just took over where her husband left off.

Wonder if there are two fredericks then, his and hers, both born the same year.seems odd that he is living with someone with the identical name to that who he married

p.s yes rose it is them but i can not understand why the name keeps changing so that is why i need to find the marriage between Harvey and the women with so many names. It looks like she comes from suffolk unlike Harvey who originates from the East end of london

Sorry everyone got caught up in domestic duties Frederick was born in Leyton on 4th may 1877 his father is named as Harvey Middleton and his mother Emily Rushton address is 1 arnold villas capworth street Leyton. Its all abit stange as i have him on the 1901 census as living with his brother Richard and a servent named Ellen poole and his mother and father as Kleigtia? and Harvey. so its a bit of a mystery. Hope this helps

When was Frederick born? Rose

I have got a birth certificate for Frederick Middleton the mother on it is shown as Emily Middleton formerly Ruston thought to be born either 1844/1845 preston suffolk could you possibly find anything on her. I would really like the marriage for her and Harvey Middleton b1848 Stepney/mile end just to check that i definately have the same person as she is shown as Emily in 1891 census and 1901 as Kleigtia i feel like i am going round in circles. Anything you can find would be great. Let me know if you need any further details Thank you for any help given. Mandy
