William Saunders b1857 Bitton Bristol to Emma Jane (surname unknown) b 1859 also in Bitton. They were together in 1881 census with sons Frank aged 4 and Andrew aged 2, the first 2 of 9 children! Emma died in 1897, William went on to marry again and acquire 3 step children plus another one of his own! Thanks in advance Lisa

Possibility! Id assumed a marriage shortly before 1st child was born, suppose there might have been a stillbirth before that. I do know WIlliams fathers name was George - will have to send for cert to see (although knowing my luck if he's anything like my Eliza Matthews, dad's name won't be on there!) Cheers Lisa

On 1891 she's down as Emma, and on her death cert she's Emma Jane. The Frank Saunders in Jess's message is one of the sons and married Delilah. The William Saunders last in Jess's message was my William married to Emma - Naomi was his second wife! At some point here my direct ancestor Lily (William and Emmas daughter) leaves home to live with Frank and Delillah - wonder why? Lisa
