Would he have had to take the children....his age does seem a bit old and she is kind of young. Surely he must have had a marriage didn;t nearly everyone? Could he have divorced her. If she died, some of the children may have still been with him. That is an interesting theory though....this is getting exciting!

The childs name was Peter. On free bmd i did find 2 marriages in sep qtr 1866 for michael murray. I also found a birth for peter murray 1865. Not suer if these are correct.

Could anybody please lookup the 1861 cenusus for the murrays. Michael Murray, aged 35, born in Ireland and his occ. could be a Labourer. He may be married to mary also born in ireland aged 20 no occ. But i am not totally sure. If they were married at this time i am not sure if they would have any children. From my records their first child was born in 1866 in Liverpool. He should be living in liverpool. Thanks stephanie. In 1871 they were living at Hodson street.
