Find Ancestors

Could anyone help determining who died first ? Husband and wife Thomas and Sophia Neale had both died by 1925 leaving a young family parentless. BUT one died in 1915 and the other circa 1925. They lived in the Bedworth, Warwickshire area. Any info much appreciated.

Their deaths will be in the GRO death indexes. Freebmd stops at about 1910 so neither of them will be there. Bedworth was in Foleshill registration district. nell

Margaret Are you sure about 1915? The only Thomas who died in Foleshill between 1900 and 1920 is this one: Neale Thomas age38 Foleshill 6d 560 Death Q3 1916 There is no Sophia between those dates. Hope that helps. Suzy

Suzy Thank you very much. I think that must be the Thomas Neale I am looking for. The story is that Alice Neale born 1913 to Thomas and Sophia, had lost both parents by the time she was 12. I must confess to working out the time scale for myself as it was indicated that Alice was only about 2 when one parent died but which one died first was unclear. Many thanks for looking.

No death on GRO between 1921 and 1925 for Sophia Neale. Perhaps she remarried after Thomas died so you would need to look for a marriage Deborah

Definitely need Sophia's maiden name to work out if she had any children with Jacob Randle. There are 6 Randle births in Foleshill in the first quarter of 1920 alone, and all to different families as the mother's maiden name is different for all of them. Kath. x

No more births with mother's maiden name Davenport up to the end of 1924, although there must have been a lot of Randle's about as there were lots of births in Foleshill to other families. Kath. x
