Marianna Don't be too exact on the year of birth. Not only did people not really know when they were born, but also they may have said they were 21 as this was the age they had to be to get married without parental concent. They could have been many years younger. Others will tell you that many white lies have been told over marriage ages. Victor |

Marianna, hopefully 'constructive' critisism You posted requests last night and again today - thats fine. both times you have posted the bear info and the added little snippets as we have gone along. it is more helpful to post EVERYTHING you know at the outset. - You said all you knew about X was his marriage date - you knew his brides name and her fathers name AND that she was born in York! |

Marianna, I can only guess at when they were born. You would need to get their marriage certificate to confirm their ages. |

Ok, we'll start with this... Marriage Mar 1915 Loftus Edward Brown Elsie York 9d 74 And then you can have all these to choose from... Birth Mar 1920 Loftus Donald S mother - Brown York 9d 103 Birth Sep 1918 Loftus Alma mother - Brown York.9d 62 Birth Mar 1917 Loftus Frank mother - Brown York 9d 70 Birth Mar 1915 Loftus Edgar M mother - Brown York 9d 104 Suggesting that Donald is Jeffs father. You would need to get Jeffs birth cert to find out. I can't help with that one though. |
