hi and thanks to all for tryingto help me look up death of john thomas cain, i will look at isle of man again to see if he came back home , i know his daughter catherine cain was a servant here in 1921 as she gave birth to my dad in the poorhouse in dec 1921 she was 22 yrs old and just left my dad in there so i cant find out where she went after , the rumer was she may have gone to canada or australia with her sister (who was suposed to be her aunt) but catherines mum had harriet comish two yrs befor she married john cain its all realy based on lies theres loads more lies too that was told

I was thinking the same myself Lesley. We should always take family stories as a guidance/reference tool, but not as 100% accurate until prooven. I think its that other site ...is it British Origins that has BMD's upto 1920 (I haven't got access).... or 1837online (I have run out of units) Sorry :-( Elaine :-)

Maybe he didnt leave Isle of Man? Just because his wife re-married in lancashire doesnt necessarily mean he moved to lancs does it? Lesley :~)

On Ancestry all the deaths in West derby are for youngsters.. Lesley :~)

Dont know if this is any use? Liverpool North Created 1st January 1925 (out of Prescot and West Derby districts). Sub-districts : Liverpool North. GRO volumes : 8b (1925-30). Allerton, Childwall, EVERTON, Fazakerley, Garston, Kirkdale, Little Woolton, Liverpool (part), Much Woolton, Walton on the Hill, Wavertree, WEST DERBY. Registers now in Liverpool district. Cheers Lesley ! I did notice the age afterwards !!!! lol ! If its not on freebmd and/or ancestry, then I think that other site ??? 1866 - 1920 MAY be the next call - failing that its 1837online :-( Elaine :-) sorry, don't know which site I'm referring to cos I only use 1837/FreeBMD

Dancer sent to me off Margaret yea i have john thomas and family down in isle of man 1901 cenus as in douglas but they left here after then and we think john died in liverpool as julia remarried a john casement in everton just after 1912, johns first wife had died and he was a police sgt but was born here in isle of man Lesley

FreeBMD is 99.9% complete between 1900 - 1910. have you checked there yet ? Dancer :-) This looks likely: Deaths Dec 1910 Cain John T 1 Ormskirk 8b 515 ***(NO IT DOESN'T - not aged 1 .... sorry !!)

Can anyone look up a death in Liverpool for a John Thomas Cain who may have passed away between 1903 to 1912. Maybe somewhere in West Derby or Everton etc.. John was born in the Isle of Man. Wife's name would be Julia Jane.
