how difficult can it be to trace somebody with a name like troke!!!!!!! my gt grandfather seems to be invisible for most of his and his childrens' lives. he is on 1901 census edmonton, middlesex. THOMAS TROKE head 67 gasmeter maker b. exeter, devon JANE TROKEwife 55 b. liverpool ALFRED TROKE son 18 gasmeter maker b. paris france. I'm 99% certain that the entry on 1871 census for welshpool, montgomeryshire is him THOMAS TROKE head 36 tinplate worker b. devon, exeter JANE TROKEwife 35 then crossed out and not at home written in. CAROLINE LUCY TROKE dau. 5 b. salop, oswestry, MARY ELLEN TROKE dau 3 welshpool montgomeryshire GEORGE THOMAS TROKE son 1 also welshpool. i can't find any other trace of him, his marriage, his death or even a likely birth. maybe he was an alien and only on earth temporarily!!!! please help!
