Hi Richard, You don't need to repeat your requests. You can just 'nudge' your origional request by adding a reply to it, just type 'nudge' as a reply ... and it will bring your origional thread to the top of page 1 again ... for fresh eye's to see. Dancer :-)

Richard, would be worth you changing your title to show where the records are you are looking for. Then people who live there will notice it straight away.

Hi Richard from the information on the order form on westmidlands bmd, it appears that Jane married at the Register Office. I don't know if there is a way of getting the information other than buying the certificate. Heather

Richard, you will now have to look on FreeBMD and see if it gives a birth entry for Emily Pitt b 1871 in Stratford. Dancer :-)

http://freebmd.rootsweb(.)com ... remove () The above is the internet address for FreeBMD. You should have a look at the site and find out how to use it. Never assume the date of birth on a census is 100% accurate. Births Jun 1870 Emily Pitt District registered: King's N. Volume: 6c Page: 470 The district King's N. is an alternative name for Kings Norton and it spans the boundaries of the counties of Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. This entry may or may NOT be your Emily. If you purchase the Marriage certificate, it will give you her Fathers name ... which you can use as a checking point on the application for the birth Cert.
