Hi I think the graveyard searches everyone is offering to do on this website is fab! The only problem is there are now many many pages to search through to find out if someone is can look in the one you want to find info in. What about if we start a thread for each county? Then everyone can just list the graves they can search under the correct county title thread? It sounds a good idea to me so I will start one and if everyone just follows adding a new county thread when required. Good Luck to all searching today! Lisa |

Thanks Joan, The list is endless so hopefully everyone will start doing it by county.....will probably have to keep nudging this up over a few days so that everyone has a chance to see what we r trying to do. I agree I enjoy going out hunting........sounds strange but can be rewarding and also refreshing to help others when u r having problems with your own tree! Happy hunting to u too! |

That would be great Lissa. If you havnt already - maybe you could start a thread called Graveyard search offered - Essex And then inside put that you can do Epping forest and hopefully anybody else also in Essex can add where they can search. Julie |

Lisa Where as it is a good idea for those who wish to search the whole county some of us can only do a town,or have I read it wrong?? |

Hi Ann, Nobody expects anyone to be able to do a whole county on there own. The idea is That you start a county thread and then put a message stating which parts of that county you can do and then hopefully other people in the same county then offers to do other parts of that county on your thread. Hope that explains it a bit - you can also see my thread for Graveyard search offered - Nottinghamshire And you will see how it works. Julie |

With the increasing use of ''Green burials' surely it will get extremely difficult to find names that are not on any markers.....do the organisers have to notify anyone, about who is buried in their 'graveyard'? Bob |
