Could someone please find Elizabeth NUTCHER, born c1823 Brompton/Chatham/Gillingham Kent. I think she died in 1874 (aged 45, so could be born c1829!), so should be there. Children on the 1851 are Charlotte b c1848 and Emily b c1850. Please help!

Charlotte born Brompton. Emily born Chatham (Emily's birth is registered as Emily Charlotte Nutcher Sep qtr 1849). No idea about husband. You were kind enough to find these people earlier through looking for Jane SWAIL on the 1851, Elizabeth is Jane's sister apparently. No husband there.

Thanks Jess and Liberty. I wonder where they are. I can't find a death on FreeBMD for a John James Nutcher.... perhaps it hasn't been transcribed yet. Grrrr. I was hoping this might help to break down my brick wall! Thanks so much for looking.

Thanks Jess. I was thinking I might have to save up and get the marriage cert, hope that will help in any way! What do you think?

The Bag

The Bag Report 2 Nov 2005 07:48

well, you have her in 1841 I guess, and he should be reasonably easy to spot with that name, so not sure what is to be gained by the marriage cet, to be honest

Hi Jess JUst did some rooting around on CityArk's site, found the marriage entry. Her father's name was John Swail, occ was Seaman. John James Nutcher's father was also John James, a warrant officer, John James Jnr was a seaman. Joy!! As for the census, only have them on 1851, not the 1841, to find them on the 1841 altogether (Jane with Elizabeth and John their brother) would be brilliant! Thanks. Chloe
