I am looking for thomas chorlton I know his work was a spinner in 1851 and 1878 when his son got married twice his son work and lived in manchester but I can not find thomas I keep hitting that brick wall can someone help me please please carol and thank you if you can knock it down or made a hole

his son was james chorlton was born abt 1830 he married jane evans1851 in manchester and worked in manchester then he married jane cook1878 in bolton his work was a iron turner so thomas was born about 1800??? carol

when in 1851 did he marry? have you eliminated any - or you just want someone to do it for you- what were his other childrns names? I will delete the ones that are obviously too young then.

some of the dates are no good because he was born abt 1800 give or take and the others I do remember seeing but after a time they all looked the same so thatb is why I have asked for help carol and thanks

oct. 11 1851 at all saints parish manchester do not know where thomas was born I do not know if he had more children and I would like a lead so then I can go on I just like a little help because the brick wall has given me a headache I have been trying for abt five years to get this far because of the name is chorlton they is so many carol many thanks

so all we have to go on, is he was a spinner (along with most of the other people in the area i guess) No idea of wife or childrens names... how are we going to know we have the right one? how old was the son when he married?

is son name is james and when he got married in 1851 the marriage saye he was full age so 21 I think that is right carol

I have james in the census of 1901 .1891 1881 1871 1861 and they all say manchester and he was married then to jane evans carol

lady liberty a big thank you have got it because mary ann vickers is the person on marriage cert.oct 11 1851 as one of the people that put they name down as a witnes many thanks carol
