Sammy THANK YOU. I looked up Penuel's birth in 1853 and he is there! born in Tisbury! You are right he was mistranscribed as Samuel. Thanks again for all your help. SB

Middle initial for jnr is correct, as is place of birth. Too much of a coincidence not to be them in my opinion Sam Send me your email if you don't have ancestry

Sammy Thanks, I do have that but nothing on Penuel. I tried to trace through Julia Ann with no luck. Can you think of any names if he had been mistranscribed? I have tried Manuel, Samuel, Pennel and all obvious ones, but is all I can think of. SB

Hello Sammy No, I found marriage and have ordered cert but thought I didn't know if I was entering something wrong. It seems strange that I can't find penuel only on birth/death/marriages! I found marriage by looking for Julia Ann. You all seem experts on Record Board so thought I would ask for help. Thanks anyway for your help. SB

Do you actually have that marriage cert? I'm guessing not, the ages would be there & also father's names + address at time of marriage.

Hi Sammy Yes correct, I can't find them!! Maybe cos they moved, but Penuel only comes up (on Ancestry) as Penuel Charles birth and Penuel (snr) marriage. Thanks. SB

I am looking for Penuel's father also Penuel. He was married to Julia Ann Martlew in 1899 in E Preston, Sussex. I can't find any record of him in 1901 census or when he was born. I have marriage details for him and Julia Ann. Their son Penuel was born in Horsham in 1900. Can anyone help please.
