Weird, cos when I searched for it, it came up, also including his three children and 2nd wife, I just couldn't view anymore info. The children were John Robert ANDREWS, Carrie Yvonne ANDREWS, and Pauline ANDREWS. Wife was Kathleen Noria MAYBANK.

Thanks Sheila. Does it say who listed it? What was Lloyd's mother's maiden name, or doesn't it say?

I only have access to the US census.... If you look at the 1880 details you will see that he is NOT RELATED to the Dickens it's recorded as : OTHER........ Pls look at the LDS site of the 1880 census to draw your own conclusions, as this is the ONLY chap I can see that matches the criteria. I'll have a look for 1850.

Thanks Debi. I'd love the 1860 and 1870 images. Will message you my email. I don't the the 1880 one is him, as mother is consistent that she was born in Ohio. Are they on the 1850 at all? Do you have access to Ancestry's One World Tree? Are you able to look at Lloyd Garrison Andrews on it? I tried on Rootsweb but it's not on there yet. Thanks again.

Oh my mistake, I was talking whilst writing the post, and it doesn't read well at all! No idea when James was born, but it's possible that the family (wife was Carrie) were in Kansas c1900. I've tried looking on the 1880 too for the family (James' parents), and can't find them. James' parents were John Andrews and Sarah nee Maloy. They SHOULD be in Bond County, Illinois. John was born in KY c1820, Sarah in OH c1828. They married in 1843. This info has been found through searching on google, but my friend would love to find them on the censuses. This is the obituary for one of the sons of John and Sarah, brother to James (Monroe in the obit) and uncle to Lloyd.... Name of Deceased: Samuel Washington ANDREWS Name of Newspaper: Greenville Advocate Date of Obituary: January 9, 1922 Date of Death: January 5, 1922 'S.W. Andrews, Sr. Dies Following Short Illness' 'Father of Former Mayor ANDREWS To Be Laid To Rest Today' 'S.W. ANDREWS, Sr., a highly respected and retired farmer, died at his home in the south part of the city at 3 p.m. Friday following a short illness of acute indigestion. While Mr. ANDREWS was in failing health, his condition did not take a serious nature until a few hours before his death. On Thursday he became ill but was feeling better Friday morning and walked to the Model Glove Company, of which his son, S.W. ANDREWS, Jr. is president. In the afternoon he became violently ill and died in a few minutes. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the Old Camp Ground Church, Rev. W. E. WISE of this city officiating. Burial will be made at the Camp Grounds. Mr. ANDREWS was born October 24, 1850 on a farm which he now owns about six miles south of Greenville. He lived there practically all his life until moving to Greenville two years ago last April. He was a son of John and Sarah (MALOY) ANDREWS. Mr. ANDREWS married Miss Catherine HAWLEY, oldest child of the late D.B. HAWLEY, forty-nine years ago. He is survived by his widow and six sons, S.W. ANDREWS, Jr., Victor D. ANDREWS and Ernest E. ANDREWS of this city, Frank L. ANDREWS of Altamont. Rev. B.H. ANDREWS of Zachary, La., and E.L. ANDREWS of Elgin, and by three daughters, Mrs. Jessie BILYEU of Leedey, Okla,. Mrs. Oren PEACH of O’Fallon, and Mrs. Lucy HILL of Donnellson. All the children were called home by the death and funeral of their father. Mr. ANDREWS is survived by one brother, John Wesley ANDREWS, who was last heard of at Blair, Neb. A brother, Monroe Wesley ANDREWS, who was last heard of at Blair, Neb. A brother, Monroe ANDREWS died at Holden, Alberta, Canada, last November. A sister, Mrs. Mary Jane SMITH died at Pocahantas about 20 years ago. Mr. ANDREWS was a member of the Christian Church. He was school director of the Hunter school district for over 20 years and served as township collector, and assessor of Mills Township for several terms.' from this site http://www.rootsweb.**com/~ilbond/obits/query007.htm We'd love to find out more, preferrably without contacting those who have posting details on the net (family rift). Also this message was posted back in 1999-2000 Topic: James Monroe Andrews From: Date: Tuesday, May 25, 1999 06:24 PM I'm looking for information on my great grandfather. JAMES MONROE ANDREWS. He and his wife Carry lived in or around Smith Center Kansas, in the late 1800's. They moved to Holden, Alberta. Canada with thier children Lloyd Garrison Andrews, Ernest, John, Frank, Louis and Clyde. Any information on any of these family members would help. Please help!

Hi Chloe I have access to the US census but I'm a bit confused....how can someone born 1894 be the son of someone born c1900? Or am I reading it wrongly? Update: have looked for both names in 1900, can't see either of them. The only reference to a Lloyd Garrison Andrews is in an Ancestry One World Tree. Sam x

Looking this up for a friend. Looking for James Munro/Monroe ANDREWS probably born in the States, probably in Kansas around 1900. apparently his was old enough to fight in the Civil War (US). His son was Lloyd Garrison ANDREWS, born c1894 in Smith Centre, Kansas. The family emigrated to Canada in the early 1900s so it is possible that they're not in Kansas, but my friend would really love to find them on a census. ADDED MORE INFO, AT WORK SO ONLY HALF WATCHING MESSAGES. Chloe
