Can anybody find Sarah Burdess?

I have a Sarah Burdess born abt 1890 in the Newcastle upon tyne area who married a William Snaith in June 1913.Cant find her on any of the census.Can anybody find her please? Many thanks Sue |

Do you have William and Sarah's marriage certificate? This would hopefully give their fathers' names and occupations, which may help to find them all in the census. |

Dont know parents names ,thats why i was trying to find her on the census.Dont have marraige cert either.I know it is definatly William Snaith and sarah Burdess as thats what it says on my nana birth cert.She was born in 1915.Have checked the marraige out on Free bmd and 1837. Sue |

I think you need to get the marriage cert. so you have her fathers name as a check point...........otherwise how would you know if the right Sarah Burdess was found. :) |

ok the one born in 1893 has this info on IGI Sarah Burdess Female Birth: 23 FEB 1893 Christening: 15 MAR 1893 West Rainton, Durham, England Death: Burial: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parents: Father: George Burdess Mother: Maggie Burdess So if you order the cert and she is 20 it probably is this one |

Thanks Zoe, I should imagine it would be one of the first 2 names you gave me ,as the others would be too young to marry in 1913.Its just strange there is no sarah on any of the census for about the time she was born. Sue |

Jonathon, My nana comes from newcasle and so do all the rest of the family and she knew her father was born there along with her mother.Cant get access to her birth cert as she lives many miles away in Suffolk. Sue |

if you have access to 1901 just put in the parish and the family surname Unless it has been mistranscribed - if so put in parish name as keyword and put father or mothers first name and age +/-1 and you will get them! Zoe |

Zoe ,Many thanks for your help.with what you gave me just now i was able to find out that sarahs mothers maiden name was Summers..At least i can continue on with my searching now as i had come to a dead end regarding the Burdesses.Many thanks to all who have helped in solving this mystery for me.
