Can anyone find Thomas and Lydia KEEFE on the 1891 census. Thomas was born 1848 in London Middlesex. His Wife Lydia was born 1833 in Newborough, Staffordshire. On the 1881 Census Thomas Keefe was landlord of the 'One Tun' Public house on Saffron Hill, Holborn, London. He was landlord there untill 1887.

Sorry, I dont think that this is the right one. There is a Lydia Keefe of the right age living in Old Brentford, Middlesex, on the 1901 Census, but she claims that she was born in Clerkenwell. - I was hoping to prove or disprove her.

There is a Thomas Nieepe listed just below Lydia on the same image. Age 40, husband, Butler, but has him born in Wexford or Waterford, Ireland. Rose

I would of thought the 1891 would be her because of birth place just name mistranscribed jeanette

strange that this Thomas and Lydia have that same 15 gap between their ages too

Gonna have a lookie to see if the nieppes ? exist on the 81 or 1901

Not sure how Keefe can be mistranscribed as Nieepe. Could anyone have a look at the actual image.

Would this be the marriage record? Thomas Keefe and Lydia Sherwin 1877 in London City? On the 1871 Lydia Sherwin was born 1827 in Newbury Staffs. She is a servant in London St George. Rose

Pen I would have thought it quite unusual for a wife to be 15 years older than her husband as in the case of these Keefe's seems odd that this lydia and thomas Nieppe have the same age gap though AND she was born in exactly the right place

How can i describe what it looks like...? Write a K but.... do the vertical stroke the attach the next bit if the K ( the < bit) to the next letter Followed by ee- thats okay, we need them! A fluid lower case f joined onto an e ...with a loopy top on the f- ...so looks like a pe ------------------------------ Ruth, I am convinced they ARE yours , the ages of them, him 15 years older...it does seem to add up to it being them
