The grandparents names were James & Martha Driver & they had a son Robert living with them - I/m not quite sure which census this was on that i saw it as i've looked at that many !!!! |

You are fine now- when i first started looking - when you initially put the message up, you didnt have the grandparents names there , did you? if you did i'm sorry. seemed you were adding info at the top rather than replies.... |

Also after the 1861 census Greenwood Downs had dissapeared along with some of his brothers??? Your quite right - never thought of that Harriet could have died & Jonas re-married and then they had a daughter & names her Harriet the Hannah bit from my investigation is the name of Nancy Robinsons mother on 1851 & 1861 census |

46 -not impossible- but going some to have had another daughter - possibly a grandaughter? maybe not - nancy was born later - cancel that! |

It sounds as though Harriet died and Jonas remarried, taking Nancy as his second wife. Unless Harriet/Nancy have the same year of birth and birthplace? nell |

On and up to 1861 census i have a Harriet Downs nee Driver - she had Emma,Fred,Greenwood,Hiram,Joseph (children) & husband Jonas. Then on 1871,1881 she is on these census' as Nancy Downs - with the same children & husband but + an extra child Harriet Hannah Downs ??? this is very confusing then on the 1891 Jonas Downs must have died & Nancy (?) lived with their youngest daughter Harriet Hannah & Her brother Joshua ROBINSON????-the reason i know it was Harriet Driver is because on one of the census's Greenwood downs Harriet & jonas's son was on with his grandparents James & Martha Driver. I really dont know then where Nancy ,obviously nee Robinson came from??? Then also (Nancy & Jonas) in 1871 & 1881 lived next door to the Drivers?!! can anyone help this dilemma i'm in ? |
