It's great June - could I ask for just one more lookup (only if you've got time). Emily Mann's husband deserted her between 1881 and 1891. I have Emily and her children living in Tunbridge, Kent in 1891, but her husband Edward is long gone! Would you be able to see if he's on Ancestry. I think he was dead by 1901. Edward Henry Mann - born circa 1850 Lamberhurst, Kent - possibly a Brewers Traveller? In 1891 please. Regards Tina

Jess, Yes, I'm fairly sure she was. The daughter of Emily and Edward Henry Mann. I have papers to say that by 1887 Edward had deserted his family. I have them living at Tonbridge, but where was he? I can't find him in the 1901 index (Edward Mann born circa 1850). He was a Brewers Traveller or some kind of travelling salesman in 1881 so would like to see what he's up to in 1891 if he's not with his family! Best wishes Tina

June, no I didn't know he was born Henry Edward. Wow! In fact he married Emily Arnold and the entry on Free BMD has Edward Henry Mann and Henry Edward Mann!!?? No I don't have 1861 - I'm only as far back as 1881! Tina
