I have come across your search for Wilson Tidswell and find he had a son Richard trying to find out if Richard married Emily Doidge from Chester-le-Street abot 1913 and if the had any children. Emily married again as a widoe in 1922

Honey if you lookat the 1901 it states this Wilson was born Churwell 1869 the same as Wilson Teasdale so Teasdale is probably your man but changed his surname As I said get marriage cert and see who his father is then you have more of a chance in finding out who is yours Zoe

Anne I think if someone could look at the 1901 image and make sure it say's Tidswell but Wilson Tidswell 1869 does seem to have been originally called Teasdale thats why we could not find him in previous censuses Zoe

So its seems when you get the certificate you will have Wilson 1869 fathers name maybe he can be found in the 1871 census sadly I don't have access or I would have done it for you Zoe

So the 1877 one we found might be related to the 1869 one but can't be his son too young and can't be his brother as they bothe have the same names strange And Wilson 1869 was not on the 1881 census weird Zoe
