found some details on my mums side but have come across some gaps fathers name-benjamin thomas henderson born 4th december 1922/died 15th april 1969 last address i have for him is-waterloo cottages,stainland,halifax west yorks. his fathers name was-james mcclean henderson mothers name-florence munday. benjamin has 6 siblings. james mcclean irene hardcastle richard hardcastle joyce fairbanks jean fairbanks ursula fairbanks. unfortunatly i dont have any more dates and carnt seem to find any.

Tracey tells me those ARE the surnames for the 6 siblings........ So are we saying that Florence Munday was married four times??? To a Mr Mclean, Mr Hardcastle, Mr Fairbanks and James M Henderson?? Which order were her marriages?? Merry

thanks reg.my sources tell me that benjamin was born at home at waterloo cottages,stainland,halifax west yorkshire. florence was married 3 times her maiden name was munday and the order of marrage was henderson,hardcastle then fairbanks i dont have any dates or places where she got married.my apologies for the delay my computer crashed

So Benjamin was a product of her first marriage.........was he the eldest? If so, you could start looking for the marriage about 9 months before his birth.............. Reg

I think you are going to have to look through the GRO BMD records after 1910ish as it costs money to look through them on the net you could goto a records office and do lookups. That's the best thing I can suggest Zoe

Couldn`t find Irene but found these Joyce Hardcastle Apr-May-Jun 1925 Mothers maiden name Monday Halifax Vol 9a Page 552 Richard Hardcastle Oct-Nov-Dec 1926 Mothers maiden name Monday Halifax Vol 9a Page 529 Yvonne

So looks like she was remarried by at least 1925, so she probably remarried between 1923 and 1925.

benjamin was the second born james was the first.thanks for the dates where did you find them it as really really helped

I have searched for the marriage on 1837online...........I've covered JFM1920 to JAS1922 inclusive. No record of a marriage of a James Henderson to Monday/Munday. Can you say whether Benjamin was the eldest? If not, when was the eldest born? I haven't any more units to spare......... Reg

ok looking at this firstly she married a Mcclean and then a Henderson and the Henderson son was born 1922, Why is his fathers name James Mcclean Henderson is that just a coincidink? Zoe

thanks i think florence was born in halifax west yorkshire dont know the dates hope it helps mcclean was the middle name of the father which was james mcclean henderson he fathered 2 sons benjamin thomas henderson born 1923 and james mcclean henderson the older son took the full name of his father hope that helps

Tracey I think the stage has been reached where you need to invest in some units on 1837online and do some searching. There is a limit to what can be achieved by people who don't have first-hand knowledge of the family. Good luck Reg
