Can anyone help me find a William Raper b 1853 Leamington please? Possibly called William Edwin Raper. Thanks in advance.

Can't see him 1891 (FOund himin 1881 and he's not with his parents in 1891) Any chance he could have died ?

I was wondering that. It's all kind of a long shot, as he married an Annie Rogers and in 1888 I have a Fanny Raper marrying someone and as Raper is a fairly uncommon name I was wondering if they were one and the same... however I have found the birth of a Fanny Raper in 1859 which is when I want mine to be born so... no.. doesn;t sound like I'm going anywhere with that!

Yes thats him, as they had a son called William Edwin in 1884 and the wife's name is Annie. Ah well, back to the drawing board. Have to figure out where Fanny Raper disapears to in 1881!

Sorry, I'm getting everything all confused with my general musings. I was trying to find Fanny Raper who married William Griffin in 1888. Thing is I couldn't find Fanny in 1881. I did find a William Edwin Raper marrying an Annie Rogers in 1883 and wondered if William had died, and Annie had remarried Mr. Griffin, with Annie and Fanny sounding so similar I though perhaps it had been misheard? Anyway, the census returns show I'm completely wrong. William is still alive in 1901 with wife Annie, so Fanny is a completely different person.

Sarah on the census info I posted from 1891 there is a brother-in-law with the family and he is John Rogers. Georgina.

Yes I think that clears all of that mess up :) Thank you Esta for your help. I admit I haven't been clear because I'm still working things out in my head. It does mean that the Francis Griffin b abt 1886, son of William Griffin the grocer doesn't seem to rightly fit with the William Griffin, grocer I found earlier today in leamington where Francis claimed to be from. Unless he's the child of a previous marriage or an illegitimate one of Fanny Raper! Still doesn't explain where he is on 1891 census... My head is beginning to hurt somewhat!
