Jane Would you be able to check someone on the 1901 census for me please? He is Frederick Perry b. Woolwich 1880 so approx. 21 and living in the Deptford St. Nicholas area. I would love to see who he is living with and at what address. Very Grateful Dawn

Hi Jane I cant thank you enough for that, this is my dads family who I know nothing about other than my grandad lived in Pennsylvania USA & came back over here when his father was killed on the railroads. Yesterday I stumbled across a shipping record from 1903 which showed a Robert Boak from Northumberland travelling from Liverpool to Ellis Island in 1903, he was married but does not show his family with him. Thinking I was on the right track I found birth record & marriage although did not know who to. Now with your help I can start putting the pieces together! Was your information from 1901 census?? Thank you once again, I just wish my dad was alive so I could tell him!! Deb

Hi Jane Re: Mary Ann Wade I guess it is possible as she was 20 in 1881 that she was married by 1891 but I have no other details for her. If you think this might be too difficult perhaps you could look for her brother Charles Wade instead who was 12 in 1881, although he may have married also I guess, but may be easier to find! Many Thanks Sandra x

Hi Jane Me again.......Back to my Atkins lot. Can you check 1851 census for any other Atkins in the Great Oxenden area Northampton as Im sure my William would have had older siblings who would have left home by 1851. Obviousy it will only show male siblings as females would have got married and changed names but who knows...Have now found Benjamin Atkins married Ann Cort 02/08/1821 Gt Bowden Leicester on LDS So already a great move forward. I was always looking in northamptonshire............... Many thanks Julie

Malcolm Report 8 Jan 2006 15:05

Hi Jane, It could very well be. The only part that has me confused is on Alfreds marriage certificate it states his father as William Gage, publican...maybe he changed occupations..lol I guess my next step would be to find the birth certificate for Alfred or do you have any other suggestions? Does it give Alfred's age on the census? Thank you very much ~Fran

Hi Jane, I am trying to locate the wife of William Gage b c 1824 Essex, but have been unable to ascertain his wifes name. They had a son Alfred Gage b. c 1844 who is my grt. grandfather and Alfred married a Hannah Freakes, so I am thinking Alfred would have been approx 7 in 1851 Thanks for your help ~Fran
