To give you an idea - there are 57 possible marriages between 1910 and 1920!

Joyce, Give us the chance to help you a little .... even if onlyu to find her year of birth for you. Give us her parents names and any other siblings that you know about. You give 1894 as a possibility ... so obviously you have details of other family members from around that date. Is this Aunty on your Mum ordad's side. Give us the info and we may be able to help get you more solid information to work on. Did she have any children ? ... if so, what were there names and when/where were they born (your cousins) Elaine ;-) This MAY help. Births Sep 1895 Morgan Winifred Barnet 3a 265 Its the ONLY entry between 1890 - 1901. I found it on FREE BMD. http://freebmd.rootsweb(.)com ... remove () You will need to trawl 1837online ...for Morgan/Peters marriage I'm afraid.

You will need to purchase her birth cert to find out who her parents actually are .......unless you have your Fathers birth cert, in which case, you already know! Could this be her on the 1901 maybe, with her Grandparents and a sister named Helen .... Andrew B Morgan abt 1840 Scotland Head Hornsey Middlesex Louisa Morgan abt 1839 Thame, Oxfordshire, England Wife Hornsey Middlesex Helen M Morgan abt 1895 New Barnet, Middlesex, England Granddaughter Hornsey Middlesex Winifred Morgan abt 1896 New Barnet, Middlesex, England Granddaughter Hornsey Middlesex

I can't find a marriage before 1920, so the only way to find it would be to trawl the records.

im not sure but i think she was born 1905

Unknown Report 6 Jan 2006 10:01

I mean ...if you have your dad's birth cert, it gives his parents names ..... which is the same information that will be on Winifred's birth cert.! Since Orangeblossom says that a marriage can't be found before 1920 between Winifred Morgan and ? Peters, then you will now need to turn to 1837online. A Pay per View site. Start at March 1921 and work this way. Its the only way I'm afraid. She had no children that you know about then ? Elaine ;-)

Unknown Report 6 Jan 2006 10:08

OK ..... So now you think that Winifred was born 1905. Why ? Is this because she COULD be a twin to your dad ? What year was your Dad born ? (if she is a TWIN, then her entry will be in the same year and qtr as his) If you think that Winifred was born 1905, then the Winifred above COULD have died between 1901 and 1905, and the parents named the next girl Winifred as well.... OR they had two daughters named Winifred. So, the two 1901 census entries I found are correct ... for the Parents ( with two brothers - Kenneth and Bertie) and the Grandparents ( with Winifred and her sister Helen) are we straight so far ? and ........... have you already got all the census entries for the families going backwards to 1841 for this family ? or do you want the info ? Elaine ;-)

Hi again Joyce, Since you know the names of Winifred's children ... do you by any chance KNOW what years they were born .... or which one was the oldest ? The year the first child was born, will give you a guide to when Winifred may have married. A birth certificate for ANY of the children will give you the Fathers name ..... and then at least you will know his actual First name, and will know if and when you find the correct marriage. Ancestry is NOT complete for B M and D's .... nor is FreeBMD .... but I double checked against 1837online for Winifred's birth. Births Sep 1895 Morgan Winifred Barnet 3a 265 Winifred and your Father were so close in age, that they probably did consider themselves twins ! Elaine ;-)

An Olde Crone

An Olde Crone Report 6 Jan 2006 19:12

I live very near to St Ives in Cornwall, and I can tell you that there is a superabundance of information regarding St Ives families - the Peters family is very old and well-known. If you contact the Archives Centre at St Ives, I am positive that they will be able to put you in touch with a lady who is researching the Peters family, being a member herself. Sorry I can't be more specific, but although I live there, I am not au fait with local genealogy, being a Lancashire Lass myself. Olde Crone
