Lorraine there are plenty of Jessie E Smiths in 1891 but none born in Croydon. There is a Jessie Watson born Surrey. Watson, Jessie abt 1866 Wandsworth, Surrey, England Lodger St Marylebone London Georgina. |

I have her on the 1871 as a Jessie Mcloud but along the way this surname as been spelt differently, such as Maclouad amd mcLeod |

Sorry Lorraine I have looked for Emma & Jessie Smith and every other combination, she may not have put croydon as her place of birth in 1891 but there are so many Smiths aaarrrrgh. Was her son William born before the 1891 census? Georgina. |
