Find Ancestors

Can anyone please help me? On the 1881 Census I have an Emily Higgins Year of birth 1842, birth palce Lynstead Kent married to a Jesse Higgins living at Gore End Cottages, Birchington, Kent. On the 1901 census she appears to have remarried to a John Loft. I have searched and searched and I cannot find their marriage anywhere can anyone please help me? Regards Jo

Do you know what Emily's surname was before she married the Higgins?

Maybe she didn't 'marry' until sometime later. Just cos its says Married or Head & Wife on census, doesn't mean they are actually married.! I have a Man & wife on 1871, 1881 & 1891 ... then found they married in London in 1897 ! ... same time as their daughter ! Elaine ;-)
