It appears from the Posting that Dancer made that we have Margaret with family That is ; Patrick Murray abt 1818 Ireland Head Mary Murray abt 1819 Ireland Wife Ann Murray abt 1855 Liverpool Dau Margaret Murray abt 1857 Liverpool Dau Don't appear to have the correct George though any futher help would be greatly appreciated.

Not necessarily ... she could have been born anywhere ..... but if the 1891 gives Liverpool as her place of birth then thats the information you follow ! Only Ellen Woods I could find born 1840 +/- 2 years in Lancashire is the one I posted above. Elaine ;-)

Mike, You say you have Ellen on the 1891 aged 50 ... where does she say she is born please ? ..... may help narrow the search down for her ! Hi Dancer We know that his mother was called Ellen,i have included that from the 1891 census when she says she is 50. So theoretically she should be 30 on the 1871, and 20 on the 61, saying that though the way all the others ages have changed i won't be betting on it Regards Mike

They musn't of been very good at counting in those days neither, thats a hell of a change in their ages from the 81 to the 91 census,in 10 years George has only aged 7 years yet typical woman Margaret only aged 4. Regards Mike

(tragic !!)

Thanks very much for that Roy not sure if that is the one though . I have them on the 1891 census living at 92 Christian St George is 30 and Margaret is 26, so i think that they would of been to young to marry at this time. Regards Mike

I have just been advised by the GRO that i have supplied the wrong reference number for a certificate that i had applied for .Luckily at the same time i had applied for and received a birth certificate for their son providing me with more information. I am therefore looking for a reference number for the marriage of a George Woods and a Margaret Murray who i believe would of married around the 1880's in the Liverpool Area. Would also like to find George Woods and his family on the 1871 and possibly 1861 census. In the 1891 census for Liverpool George was living at 95 Christian St with his wife Margaret and son James.Also at the address are his mother Ellen aged 50 and nephew James aged 25.
