This is very likely to be John's father's marriage...........unfortunately, his bride's name isn't transcribed by freebmd, so can't give you her maiden surname THORNHILL, THOMAS 1851 March Marriages Stone Staffordshire Reg |

June its a possibility that the 1871 census you have sent could be correct as even though its listed as St Philip, as far as I am aware it is near to Bradford in Manchester, so its quite likely that it is his family. Thankyou Marie |

This is definitely them Reggie, thats the info I have, so how do I go about finding him before he got married, would his mother and father be listed with him like they list his family on the 1881 census? Not sure where I go next. Thankyou Marie |

June I am not quite sure if it is to be honest, I know on the 1881 census he is listed with his wife Caroline and son Ellis and Daughter Esther and living at Montague street in Manchester Lancashire, he is listed as being born in 1853. So thought if I could get an earlier census I thought maybe his mother and father would be on it so I could find out their names. I havent done much research for quite a while so I am a bit out of touch at the moment, so any help would be appreciated. Thankyou Marie |

I have my 3xgreat Grandad John Thornhill listed as born 1853 in Bradford area of Manchester (not the other Bradford further up north) and was wondering if someone has the 1861 or 71 census, so I could see who his father and mother or any siblings were and any other info that might be listed Please.
