Find Ancestors

I have found my Great Grandmother her name is Grace Lucy Smith born October 1897 and her mothers name is Lucy Smith (nee Holder). Her fathers name is Edgar Smith. I've been told there is a sister either by the nameof Jessie or Jessica?? I can't seem to find her or any other siblings can anyone shed some light on this for me?? Grace Lucy was born in the district of Greenwich. :)

must be the one Alice found then just saw the daughters name Jessie and mother Lucy not unless Lucy married brother or someone else called Smith after Grace born or have you deff got right birth cert? Jeanette

Yes I'm sure I have the right cert as she was my Grandfathers mother..........I hope he has her DOB right!!!! He is getting a bit old now!!

I'm confussed now!!! On her birthcert it says she was born at 66 Marlborough Street Does that help??

his job in 1901 is works in the Iron works just had a thought perhaps he didn't like the name Edger and went by Percy as it says Percy E. I had a cert once it said mother Elizabeth nee Briant when on all census she was called Agnes Elizabeth and her maiden name was O'Brien. Jeanette

I'm thinking along the same lines as you...................one of my great aunts is known as Lil but her name is Elizabeth!!! I will try this new lead thank you once again for your hard work :)

Thank you for finding their date of Marriage this also confirms I have the right birth cert, and it does explain the funny squiggle above the name Edgar on the said cert. He must have hated the name Percy!!
