Hi All I'm looking for the Yorks. Is there an index on the 1841? No idea how much work I'm requesting here. Samuel York (c1819 - Chilton) and possibly his wife Mary (nee Smith c1824 - Edmonton, Middlesex). I have them in London in the 1851, but I can't find them in the 1841, so he or they might still be in Suffolk. Their first child was born in 1844 - I don't have a marriage date. Mary would have been about 17 in 1841 so they probably weren't married then. His parents William (c1788 - Melford) and Rebecca (c1786 - Acton) are in Chilton in the 1841, but are there any other Yorks around? Thanks

This is coming too fast for me to cope with! That's Samuel with his brother for sure. NArrows the dates down for me finding his marriage too. Somewhere between 1841 and 1851 he travels to London, possibly via Edmonton where he meets Mary Smith. A nice unusual name! Thank you all so much. Alan

Hi I am a York from leicestershire origins. My Gt.Grandfather was William Thomas York born about 1843. He was married to Sarsh Hampson in 1865 died 1892. they had two children William in 1870 and Joseph in 1871.Any help in going earlier would be much appreciated. thanks in advance
