I just noticed you were looking for ancestors by the name of Paul and thought there might be a connection ! |

That could be her. Only, if her mother was Susan McKean andfather was Daniel Naish how can her grandparents have the surname Paul? She married Henry Paul in 1915. Gemma |

Hi nell I've just got back from work, sorry. I'm not sure thats the right Daniel in 1871 because I thought Daniel was born in 1852? His wife in 1859, and children 1879 and 1880. Are there any other possibles in 1871, or on earlier census'? |

Elaine.........sorry you're right it probably does say married for Daniel Gemma - I have no idea about what has happened to the rest of her family - This is where your 'leg work' starts - although I find it unlikely that they all died though.......... If you can't find a death for Susan thers's always the possibilty that she didn't die but remarried. other children may have married and now have different surnames Etc... Esta |

Esta, I have checked the 1901 image and I would say that Daniel was married in 1901 - not widowed. Elaine |

Gemma I found Daniel in the workhouse, minus the rest of the family last night. But your original post, where I added it, seems to have been deleted. nell |

Gemma you need to look through the BMD index ( freebmd.org ) for possibles deaths for the wife and children. ( I'm saying they have all died of course ) Look through the 1901 census index( free to search) to find possibles for the children who could be anywhere. 1901 daniel is a widow in the poorhouse !
