Find Ancestors

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME I am trying to find information on a Maureen Mchale, originally from Coventry then was adopted by a family in scotland with her sister Freda. she later lived is sussex were she married, when she became Maureen Dempsey she soon after had a child by the name of James Dempsey born 22nd October 1975. trying to find ANY information on her would be appreciated thank you in advance

Thank you Blaise. Right. i have looked for the childs birth in the registers and cannot see it 1) are you certain of his name and birth date- if so where was he born? 2)What was his fathers name?

yes Jess am Sure. James Dempsey born 22/10/1975 in Cuckfield (Sussex) fathers name is Joseph Dempsey This is actually my brother in law.. he is with and I am doing this on his behalf.. James that is.. thanks

LOL sorry its probably the way I have written it.. James is trying to find his Birth mother. she divorced his father when he was 2 and he didnt know until he applied for a new job in which he needed his Birth cert, then found the mothers name wasnt who he called mum for 27 years..

does james actually have a copy of his birth cert? Does she know when his mother and joseph married? ** can you see it Liz, i cant

You could access the GRO Marriage index via ancestry(.)co.uk (remove brackets) and look for a marriage after the divorce. It will be a lengthy process though. Liz

He has one but its at his new employers premises. He has to be vetted as hes woking at Airports so they are doing there checks at the moment. So yes he has one but not with him now.

how long before he was born where they married? weeks... months... years....

sorry he doesnt know that at present. he got his birth cert and had no reason to check it over... he spotted the name and the rest seemed a blur due to the shock.. he gave it his employer almost straight away

Blaise Ancestry had the births, marriages, and deathe (BMD's) for free. if you can't access them, just register as a guest and you can search alot of records for free although things like censuses are restricted to guests with a few exceptions.
