Jane is listed as unmarried here. She is still listed as unmarried on the 1881 census but appears to have had two more children!! Hi Elaine The person I'm related to is Sarah Ann born 1874 Cockermouth on the 1901 census & she is the only one that appears on the 1881 census but you have found two records of birth for a Sarah Ann born Cockermouth 1873. What do I do now?

Did she marry - do you have marriage certificate ? Does it name a father?

Hi Elaine Yes she married Benjamin Pattinson I don't have marriage certificate. Guess I'll have to send for that one. Have just received a marriage certificate for another part of my family that I was stuck on. So I have something else to work on untill I get this one. It's costing me a fortune.
