Find Ancestors

I have searched high and low for my G/G/G Uncle (Ellis Boulton) birth. I have found him on the 1901 census with his wife and family. I have two of his childrens bith certs so I know I have the right spelling. I have found him on the latter day saints site, this told me that he was in the Army,(I did know this) So as far as I was aware he was born in 1851, but on the latter day saints site it looks as if he said he was younger??? I have serched 1837 for him, + or- 10 years and still can't find him!! Any tips please anybody? As he is driving me crazy!!!!

The two children born in Aldershot is where he was in the Army, I don't have a marriage cert, yes Jess his name is rare, thats why I thought it would be easy to find him!! Silly me eh!

No sign of the family in 1861.......probably among the records damaged or destroyed. Reg

Thanks for that Reg I will try and find his marriage cert and try from there, I just hope I can find it a lot quicker than his birth!!!!!
