You ned to get Leonards Birth certificate and find out who is parents were. Then purchase the marriage cert for the parents and find out when they were born and who their Fathers were. His Mothers maiden Name was Hinch: and he had siblings ..... The mothers Maiden Name will NOT be included in the indexes before Sept 1911 ..... but you can check for others after 1920 using the MMN as a reference .... if you think there may be younger siblings. Marriage between Hinch and Wareing is also in BURTON ... where the ONLY Leonard Wareing was born between 1915 - 1920 The MARRIAGE is for an Ernest Wallace Wareing ..... NOT Arthur ...... so yes, they could ALL be wrong family.

So, there is a chance that your Grandparents married around about 1841, give or take a couple of years. Where was your Dad born ? this would more than likely be the place his parents married. Its BEST to try and concentrate on ONE line at a time, or you will get confused. Lets get your Dad's parents marriage found first and you can then find the birth certs for both Leonard & Elsie knowing that you are applying for the correct one's. Elaine ;-)

Search through all of 1841 qtrs until you find a marriage ynder the name Leonard Wareing and make a note of the Year / qtr / District / Spouses name SHOULD be Kirkley ! / and make sure you note down the Reference Numbers. Then you can start again, using your Grandma's name Elsie Kirkley.... but this time you can make sure you only search the right year / qtr. Find Elsie's name and against it should be Wareing with the same Reference Number. I'll have a look as well,............

Send for the certificate for the Leonard A born June 1919 ....... then send for the marriage cert between Ernest Wallace Wareing and Ellen Hinch .... I think you will have some very solid evidence and details to start you on your way ....... To help you out, look under Marriages Sept qtr 1941 for Leonard A Wareing. Which makes the Leonard A Wareing born June 1919 Burton more like a definate for the birth..........

Ernest Wareing abt 1885 Bury, Lancashire, England Son Bury Lancashire Ernest Wareing abt 1896 Manchester, Lancashire, England Son Harpurhey Lancashire I wonder ????
