Haligonian Report 1 Mar 2006 12:27

i know he wouldnt, i was hoping to catch a glimpse of his father and his occ on the census before, his mother may not be registered as maiden name on the census before if she had already married henderson tracey

Haligonian Report 1 Mar 2006 13:03

thats right reg,i hav thought about it and they carnt be the same person, i am trying to locate the the father of benjamin thomas 1922 and james mclean henderson1921, his name james henderson but have just found out from my aunt 10 mins ago that his middle name was also mclean, and that he was a stooker in the royal navy, this is what appears on benjamins birth cert.the family also seem to recall hull.sculcoates area but nothing seems to be set in stone when it comes to what people remember i ahve found out the hard way and so has my credit card. the mother i ahve details of florence monday born 1898 born hull, you see the problem is i carnt even find a marriage between them, they must have been because florence married again in 1924 to a hardcastle and see used henderson as her surname, am i not ever supposed to find the hendersons ???????? i am close to giving up and ireally dont want to i have come so far,

Haligonian Report 1 Mar 2006 14:44

hi reg thanks, i have searched from 1916 to 1923 in all qtrs i even ran a search for 1924 even though she married her second husband in 1924,thought it was worth a go, i have been using family relatives site for the searches because i have lots of credits on it.hope this helps you.

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 1 Mar 2006 14:50

It is looking very much as though they didn't marry..........Florence could have used the surname Henderson when marrying 1924 because that was the name of her children............ You say he was alive when the son was born in 1922..........did he notify the birth? If he didn't, he could have died anytime up to nine months before the birth. Of course, if they didn't marry..........he may not have died!! And if Florence wa the informant, the father could have been someone else............ Reg

Haligonian

Haligonian Report 1 Mar 2006 14:54

you could be right reg, but would that be legal!!!!!!!! and would the marriage count!!!!!!!! to the hardcastle if she used a name that was not legally given to her,

Haligonian

Haligonian Report 1 Mar 2006 15:00
