Hi again folks Thanks for all the info. June yes the 1901 census is my family as teresa 1895 was my grandmother and agnes 1900 was my great aunt, can remember dad talking about his aunts maggie & lizzie , both on 1901.Do you think that the HORAN one could be the same with a spelling mistake? Think that honora shortened her name to nora as on 1881 with the name HORAN her name is still honora then 1891 nora, but I'm sure it's one and the same as her father [michael foley widower age 56 ] is listed as a lodger in their home. Not sure if Harriet Doran was married she is listed as the HEAD in manchester 1861. Thanks for all info Glenys :-)

S o Harriett Doran was her married name .Looks like you need her maiden name for a 41 search.

Only me again, sorry may have misled you a little. Meant Honora Foley was born abt 1857 in Wigan they married abt 1872 Wigan.Honora's father was Michael born Ireland abt 1830 listed on 1891 as lodger with david & honora and widower don't know any more about his family i.e. Ireland connection.It's the doran name I'm trying to track at this time, think I've bitten a little too much off for my first attempt lol. Hi Jess & Christine [who should be studying lol] Looking for records of Harriet Doran abt 1823 manchester, found her on the 1861 census - Head , Son david age 5 [my great grandfather I think he later came to Wigan and married Honora Foley abt 1857 wigan] Been trying to trace family, but only got to this one. I'm not completely sure if this is the right person but keeping my options open. Thanks again Glenys :-)

1851 is available on ancestry, with 1841 due on soon (or so we are told). Some members here have access to 1841 from cds in their possession If you post details here of who you are looking for, perhaps we can help.

people that have ancestry can hunt 1851 for you 1841 is a bit harder , people with the disks usually oblige when you put up a request. who do you ned in 1851? will look if you wish
