my grandad- ethelbert binney 1916 ( i think) my grandma- winifred 1915 ??? G/Grandad herbert 1905 ?? but dates cant be right surely. winifred n ethelbert had 7 children (from oldest down) Patricia..Burt..Brian-(had a twin but died)...Pauline (1945)....Norman(1950) and Pamela(1954) Pauline is my mum (and alive) but we had a big fall out a long time ago so i struggle with help My grandparents lived in Padiham Nr Burnley in Lancs. Hello Sandra, Which websites are you using that you aren't getting much help from? If you are using FREE BMD then that only covers 1837 - 1911ish and then not ALL of that because it isn't all transcribed yet. Cheers, Horatia

hi sandra, welcome to gr. on here you will only get results if other people have entered names and dates etc on thier trees that match who your looking for, to get a larger selection of results back you need to join something like ancestry or use the lds search site, or post a message on the boards with names and birth place and approx birth yr and someone will always do a look up for you if they have the discs or access to ancestry.

Hi Sandra What are you trying to find out first? Usually you would start with yourself and work backwards to your parents, but depending on what info you have and how far back you have got will depend on the route your research will take. Lunar

Info from Sandra: she was born on 20.09.1917. she died oct 1990 age 73. that info is 100% from england & wales Death index 1984-2002 Record. (if that makes sense) somebody sent that to me using ancestry.com. She had Pamela at age 39. Norman at age33.(norman died in 2004. in manchester area/ on a motorway ) Pauline at age 28. (Brian ??. Burt?? and Patricia??) Think Brian could be between 63 and 65. Patricia (pat) died 09.01.2004 in Burnley and Burt died around June/July 2003 in Burnley. I don't know how old Patricia and Burt were when they died sorry. Don't know if you can work out anything else from information i have given. I don't know how much is useful really. From Sandra

hi Sandra, if you look back up your thread you will find Herbert Binney's birth, I am pretty sure it is him. If you send for the birth cert it will give you the parents, and we can go backwards from there. Gloria :-))))
