Hi Anyone The same family as above not here in 1891.. Looks like they left and went to America Thomas Rimmer born C 1851 Lancashire Elizabeth Rimmer born 1852 Heighington, Durham. Think we have sorted them out arriving in the USA.. Just now need to know where they were.. This is how I know they were in USA On a Memorial Inscription for Bury, Lancashire Gille Cemetery, Van Bueren, Arkansas, USA.. as Elizabeth Koppen in 1931 I could really do with her second husbands name and find them on US Census Mo |

Hi Claire I have been pouring over these docs and I do think its them.. It has to be..so there is every possiblity that they left around the time the census was taken here in 1891 The Thomas that I was looking at was the wrong one You said that there was some kind of Naturalization papers..for around 1900 What are they Mo |

Hi Claire I cannot find them here on the 1891 Census...and I have tried all sorts of different spellings of the name too.. But thanks for this.. If they did'nt sail until 1892 would they be here for the census?? or would they be on board ship already sailing.. Any Ideas.. Mo How long were these Journeys?? Does it say when the ship left here Mo |

Hi Does anyone have access to the immigration Lists I am trying to locate this family Rimmer, Thomas Elizabeth I have no idea as to where he was born.. Just think that he was born C 1848 Lancashire as the family are from Bury Lancashire... Elizabeth was born in Heighington Durham 1852 and I can find no trace of them on the census after their marriage in 1884 I have just come into possession of a monumental inscription for Bury and Elizabeth was interred at the Gille Cemetery, Van Bueren, Arkansas, USA.. as Elizabeth Koppen I am making assumptions as I cannot find Thomas Rimmer and Elizabeth on any of the UK Census.. That they emigrated to USA and her husband died and she has remarried to a ?Koppen.. Any ideas anyone as to how I trace the family Mo |
