hey mark, on 1881 census Maurice (mistranscribed as Morris) had yet more children Harriott b 1874 in Washington, Sussex Kate b 1875 Samuel b1877 Edith b 1878 All born in Washington, Sussex. Civil Parish Shipley Harry & Maurice his son's were not living with them, they were both living in Shipley, Sussex in another household as servants!

on 1871 census Maurice is married to Frances b 1839 from Ashington, Sussex, and had 6 children Jemima Frances b 1860 Maurice b 1863 Ellen b 1867 Harry b 1869 Jane b 1870 Ann b 1871 all born in Ashington , Sussex Hope this helps Nic

Trying to trace as much info as i can on a Maurice Short baptised on 28 February 1836 in West Chiltington sussex. He is the son of Samuel Short and Leah wadey. I am led to believe that he married a Frances Lillywhite on 9 June 1862 in Wiston. (Although i have no hard evidance that this is the right Maurice.) If anybody can confirm this and any children etc they had i would love you forever. Thanks in advance. Mark.
