Can anyone help in finding a person called Rozena (I think that is how you spell it) which lived in Treveling street in Mountain Ash, Glamorgan, South Wales. I do not know when she was born I'm afraid. I have had this information from an elderly relative and that is all she can remember. She also says that she married a Johnny Jones (His mothers name was Catherine Ann Jones). Johnny JOnes and Rozena had a daughter called Catherine Jones. Can anyone help me to she if this is true? 1901 Rozena in Glamorgan, Wales has: Rozena Cook abt 1842 Appledore, Devon, England Head Penarth Glamorgan or Rozena Williams abt 1848 Abercarn, Monmouthshire, Wales Head Roath Glamorgan also 783 Rosinas in Glamorgan!!!!

Only one Rozena birth Rozena Williams 1888 Apr-May-Jun Cardiff (1837-1974) Glamorgan, Monmouthshire 4 marriages, but none to Johnny Jones.

Thank you but is there any in treveling street or in Mountain Ash in the 1891 or 1901 census please? I think that she may have been born in Mountain Ash but can not be 100% certain

No nothing but I do know that Catherine Ann Jones (Johnny Jones mother) had another child before wed lock (Thomas Richard Jones born in 1891 and died in the same year), the elderly lady says that she remembers Catherine Ann Jones telling her eldest dau: Lizzi Jane Bond to look after Johnny Jones, even though he was older than Lizzi. Lizzi was born in 1892 in Mountain Ash and What I seam to think is that Thomas Richard Jones and Johnny Jones must have been twinsso it would be before 1892 his birth

Cant see a Rosina or Rozena living in Traveling street. Plenty Rosina's living in Mountain Ash but none in that street that I can see. Suzanne

Hi Craig, I think we all learn that elderly members of the family area a great source of information BUT as people and especially elderly people we do tend to get memories confused and I understand you wanting to confirm her sayings.
