Find Ancestors

Ive been trying to find out what happened to 4 of my ancestors from the 1870's and hit a brick wall, they were all siblings called Edie (Edward) Lewis born 1851, Benjamin born 1853, William born 1856 and Jane born 1858, all born in Trevethin, Monmouthshire. I have found them on the 1861 but after that they disappear, they had one other brothher Lewis born 1854 who i can find right up to 1901 and is my great great grandfather, but if anyone can help me find the others it will help a great deal, Thanks Michael

Thanks-thats them but after that they all disappear except Lewis Lewis which is slightly confusing-i mean whats the chances that 4 sivlings and both parents all die within 10 years? :s

I dont know if this is them, Ann's details are certainly correct but her son Lewis was born 1854-i know for a fact and in 1881 he was living with his wife and a son in Pontllanfraith in Monmouthshire

Yes, thats the date of death, ive seen it before in the bmd website and Ann died within 2 years of that i seem to remember. Thanks for that!

dont rely on birth yrs being spot on, they recorded birth yrs diff on different cencus, some were told to round down , so someone at 18 could have been recorded as 15. if names places are the same and birth yrs not too far out, then its usually right. my gt gt grandad started off being 5 yrs younger than his wife,. by the time he died he was 8 yrs older...

I dont think that is William-there are no fgamily names whatsoever and i would exoect another William, Benjamin or Lewis as some first names

thought i should tell you, i think ive found Benjamin in the 1881 census with a son William Daniel-Daniel was Benjamin's fathers name born 1857
