To save you looking through all th years, those are the only two up to, and including 1920 :) (with those spellings anyways)

I can only see a Castle Eden near Gateshead. I guess it could be anything? It there no other reference to a district at all?

Jennifer, it's Castle Ward. 10b is a district in the North East :) There's a William born in 1913 too! Castle Ward - 10b 675 Dec qtr

I am looking for possible children of William Irwin and Jane Howe-married 1913 in Gateshead-Found a Ralph H. Irwin Mothers maiden name Howe, 2nd quarter 1915 but place of birth is stated as Castle W.

I got it from Ancestry-it is listed as a place of Birth-I was hoping it was the North East of England, but as you say could be anywhere.
