Witnesses on MC are a Mary Ann Moreton ( brides family ) and an Edward Blade ....No idea who he is ! I have him on the 1871/1881 census.With wife nad children - No other family members. He is dead by the 1891. He a son called George( lIke his father... maybe) and a daughter called Emily. Although it all seem to fit......I'm just no sure.... What I really need is his BC.............. What about witnesses on the marriage certificate - names of children he had - do they match parents or siblings. Have you traced him in future census - no family members staying with him??????? Irene |

...So it looks like Alfred with the Merrell family in 1861 is my Alfred in 1871.........now just need to work out if I have the right family for him in 1851/1861.........ARGGHHHH........ |

Now I'm wandering if these are the same Alfred William....Why do I have to have Williams in my family !?!?! Alfred is my direct line that I am trying to prove/trace. b. 1845 Shoreditch/St Lukes I have MC from 1864 where his fahther is George Williams - Artist. The 1851 census is the only entry I could find that was a possible father /son match. I have no other clues. If that is Alfred in 1861 it doesn't really help to connect him from his MC to the family I found. Esta - starting to pull her hair out ......lol Thanks you both for your time / help x |

oh...Irene ..where is this Merrell family.........Alfred was a French Polisher.... Found him........Cabinet maker to French Polisher ?! I wonder if it is him.... He was married and living in Bethnal Green in 1871... |

Many thanks... that is my lot in 1861 Irene....and the 1 I really want is ALfred and guess what he's missing !! I have the parents / children from 1841-1881.....and am working my way through everyone to see if I can find Alfred in 1861.( he married 1864)......... The things we do to track these people.. Yes that's right the daughter is unchristened but later named Ann in the 1861 census The boys were born Ballspond Rd. Hackney In 1861 some of the children still at home George 48 Susan43 Emma 22 George 18 Robert 15 ANN 10 Thomas 11 Maria 9 Clara 8 Hatie? 5 Edith 3 Alexander 1 Hope this helps. Irene |

I'm being brave(lol) and trying to trace the family of my Alfred Williams......I'm doing quite well but would be grateful fro a couple of second opinions please. The family of George Williams. Source information: HO107/1504 Registration district: Hackney Sub-registration district: West Hackney ED, institution, or vessel: 13 Folio: 422 Page: 58 It says Sons George and Edward were b. Ballyward ?....Is this a place or has it been transcribed wrong. The daughter B. 1850 ?....what is it suppose to say ? Esta x |
