hiya, this could be his birth, i did find a james william born in 1868 but also died in 1868 in lambeth, Name: William J Hedgecock Year of Registration: 1866 Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep District: Lambeth County: Greater London, London, Surrey Volume: 1d Page: 399 (click to see others on page) it was common for people to swap their names around, so he could in fact have been william james, but known as james william hope this helps Julie

Hi Reg Yes thats James with his parents & rest of his family in 1881. James married in Oct 1887 at St Saviours Southwark & his daughter Susan ws born Dec 1887 in Walworth. His other childrens details were given to me by Susan's great grandson. Regards Janice
