Hi could i have a look up on the 1841 census for Alexander Grimshaw, he was born about 1815 in either Rishton or Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, I dont have any more info on him only that he married in 1845 and on his marriage cert his father is called Grimshaw Grimshaw Thanks Christine

Hes on 51 census but transcribed as Thomas although its clearly Alexander Cumliff Grimshaw abt 1847 Oswalde, Lancashire, England Son Oswaldtwistle Lancashire Elizabeth Grimshaw abt 1815 Bolton by Bowland, Yorkshire, England Wife Oswaldtwistle Lancashire Thomas Grimshaw abt 1815 Great Harwood, Lancashire, England Head Oswaldtwistle Lancashire

Hi everyone thanks for trying to help, Suzanne I think that may be them (mistranscribed) as on the marriage cert Grimshaw is a cotton weaver and alex is a lab, what strange names they had do you think they could have been mistanscribed as well Christine

Id say so too as that family are on 51 with Rosamund as Rose

The surname on the image looks like Grimes and all the names are quite well transcribed by ancestry except for Geurney who looks more like Jenney. Suzanne
