Hi Elaine I did not have an address for the Abels on the 1861 But as you say it is the same address as the 1851 so it probably is them. But it doesnt explain where the name Fincher comes from. Thanks for your help. I will copy all this information you are giving me down. Thanks very much Jane

Jane, John IS still alive on the 1851, he is listed there. There is a Thomas Sheppey aged 75 in the Evesham Union workhouse on the 1841 census but no Lucy shown

Marilyn Yes I think that you have found them on the 1841. Jemima was their only child in 1841. I wonder where John is? and who are the other people they are with? Thanks Jane

Elaine

Elaine Report 25 Apr 2006 16:21

The Finchers that you have found in 1851 are living in Steward Street - which is the same as the Abels address from the 1861 census.

Jane Report 25 Apr 2006 16:18

I dont think thats my family Marilyn because it would mean John would have died and Eliza would have remarried. John was still alive in 1861. They had Sarah in 1857 Thanks for trying Jane

Helen or Elaine can i be cheeky and ask if you can find Thomas Sheppey and Lucy Sheppey on the 1841 for North and Middle Littleton Worcestershire. I think this is Evesham. I'f afraid i dont know how old they are but htey married in JUly 1790 so i guess they would be about 60. They were both born arround the South Littleton or North & Middle Littleton area. Thanks for your help Jane
