hiya all, sorry about waring, i meant manley, told you grey matter was going boggle LOL did anyone manage to find thomas in 51, ??? i believe he could've been in service somewhere in uffculme, possibly tiverton, sorry for all confusion thanks in advance Julie |

1851 Elizabeth Manley abt 1837 Uffculm Servant Dunkeswell Devon year of birth is a bit out. hmm 0n 1861 there is an Elizabeth Graves, born 1837 Silverton, a widow, a servant in Uffculme. Think above marriage details I posted may therefore be wrong. |

hiya and thank you all, i suspected they were mistranscribed just after a while of searching you tend to get boggle eyed, i have been on hugh wallis site searching and come up with some new info, including possible parents of james, but i cannot find a marriage of Thomas my grt grt grandfather, he married Elizabeth possibliy WARING as maiden name she too came from uffculme, or so i'm lead to believe, any ideas peeps??? |

hi, this is charles in 1851 , Charles Charles abt 1839 Uffculme, Devon, England Servant Uffculme Devon i opened the cencus page and you can see though its very faint that the last name says graves.he was a farm servant. |

think this is them... Have checked the image on Ancestry & appears to have been mis-transcribed. Was John a carpenter on later census?
